Understanding the Marketing Plan

Now that we know how network marketing works (the idea of Vested
Interest), the marketing plan takes on a whole new meaning. Unfortunately, for most people this is a viewpoint that comes only after time.
Fortunately, I'm going to help you understand it more quickly.
You see, the opportunity is in the design of the plan, and if you can't see that, it's difficult to work and build your business. We're dealing again with your ability to communicate the language of the business. But, more importantly, we're dealing with time and focus. Let's look at this in a slightly different light.
There are two issues in understanding any marketing plan, short-term and long-term. In Chapter 1 we talked about the Big Picture, the long term. The short term is the climb up the ladder; understanding the economics and structure that keep the business alive and make it grow. What causes what?
What do we need to know?

Of course hindsight is a perfect science, isn't it. What I know today directs me to work in ways I didn't know and understand in the beginning. I've also found that understanding the marketing plan is not just about money. It's more about structure and focus. Most, if not all, compensation plans are designed to distribute the amount of commissions to be paid out in a way that allows the parent company to expand and grow, and not go broke doing it. These plans are designed to allow the distributors (or reps) to expand and grow over time. It's only natural to assume that the company will not pay the same benefits to
everyone, but it can pay a lot to some people. It's the average that they work on.
So this is your opportunity to make the most of your income potential. If you don't understand the idea and potential of the plan then it becomes confusing and you might not work where you should be working. If that happens you won't get what you want.
